Britons can look forward to a four-day weekend in 12 months’ time to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

To mark The Queens Diamond Jubilee next year, the public can look forward to a four-day weekend, mirroring the long weekend enjoyed by this years Royal Wedding.

The government have agreed to grant an additional bank holiday on Tuesday 5 June to provide a focal point for the celebrations.

In addition, the traditional Bank Holiday at the end of May will, in 2012, be moved to 4 June to make it a four-day weekend.

Those savvy people among us will already be looking to book the additional Wednesday, Thursday, Friday off work, benefiting from a 9 day holiday! Lets just hope the weather holds up!

Will you be making any plans?
