The Woodland Trust seeks volunteers for Jubilee Woods Project

The Woodland Trust is looking for volunteers to help plant six million trees as part of celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year.

With HRH The Princess Royal as Patron, The Jubilee Woods Project aims to plant the trees all around the UK as a ‘growing tribute’ to Her Majesty the Queen.  It hopes to create 60 Diamond Woods of 60 acres each, as well as hundreds of smaller Jubilee Woods nationwide.

And it’s not just landowners who can get involved – The Woodland Trust is providing thousands of free Jubilee Tree packs to communities and schools, as well as individuals, across the UK.   Planting commences in autumn 2011 until the close of 2012.
