The Woodland Trust gets the X-Factor Treatment

X-Factor host Dermot O'Leary

Following a post by us last month, X-Factor host Dermot O’Leary has joined forces with the Woodland Trust in a pledge to plant more than 200,000 celebratory trees, as part of the trust’s ‘Jubilee Woods’ campaign for next year’s landmark anniversary.

As we mentioned in July, The Jubilee Woods Project aims to plant the trees all around the UK as a ‘growing tribute’ to Her Majesty the Queen.  It hopes to create 60 Diamond Woods of 60 acres each, as well as hundreds of smaller Jubilee Woods nationwide.

Dermot said: “I’m thrilled to be supporting the charity’s Jubilee Woods project. It’s a chance to get all your friends together, get outdoors, engage your kids with nature and leave something amazing for the future.”
